TEHRAN (Mehr News Agency) – Mohammad Jafar Afqahi, a deputy representing Sarakks and Fariman in a predebate speech of Majlis open door session elaborated on the sensitive circumstances of the region, calling for further solidarity of political parties.

"In prevailing circumstances, the elite should stick to unity and avoid discord. Officials should put aside dispute and gain national trust instead," he added. The main shortcoming of factional parties is that they lack an in-depth understanding of the country's problems. There are people who refuse to believe that people are losing faith in the regime; thus, they denigrate any reformist movement.”

Marking the Government Week, he called for increasing attention to education and teachers as the pillars of society.

"Any venturesome measure and political view towards education may incur worrisome consequences," he stressed. HJ/IS/
